I am an intuitive energy healer with foundation in HolyFire III, Usui and Karuna Reiki, licensed by the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).

Growing up in the South Carolina piney woods I had a childhood of free exploration in nature. I was most at home on the land, in the woods, with trees, rocks, and animals. I built woodland altars, rode horses, and ran wild with the dogs in every direction. My experiences, even then, began to guide me onto my spiritual path. The journey continued on through college in Virginia, where new ideas and open mindedness were encouraged. There I fully found my voice and expanded my views of spirit. Later motherhood and a growing awareness of the divine feminine continued to teach me about love, presence, and living with heart on the earth. And I found circles of friends and teachers along the way that had deep, meaningful influence.

Montessori education, with its beautiful philosophy, spiritual view of the child, aesthetic, ordered learning environment, and integrated sensory guided curriculum offered more new windows to look through. Spending everyday with young children, as an observer and helper, offered a renewed way of seeing and experiencing wonder. Teaching is always crucial reminder on how to be present. After 20 years as a guide for young children in Montessori education, I felt a strong desire to pursue Reiki Training, not really knowing where it would take me. My life had been rich and full, enjoying a rural mountain farm lifestyle, while practicing and promoting Montessori as an educational philosophy. I trusted the guidance, receiving Usui Reiki I and II, then 6 months later, advanced to Master level. I trained in Walter Lubeck’s Rainbow Reiki, and then 5 years later, Holy Fire and Karuna. It was becoming attuned to Karuna Reiki that shifted the energies within, and led me to step into the light, fully, confidently, and completely w/ healing as a full time calling. Reiki opened doors to a deeper perception, and an embodied understanding of self, connection to others, and all of life.

In meditation, I was given guidance to bring stones into sessions with clients. I questioned it immediately “How do I learn this?”, only to be given an immediate response, “You have all the knowledge you need.” Then other pieces showed up, drumming, singing, chanting sometimes, more what I would call “Shamanic,” in nature. Every session is different, I begin and end with a structure that feels right and good, but what happens in that 70-90 minutes is different every time. Reiki guides me, the stones speak, there is an inner knowing that takes over, showing me the way, so I give myself to the process.

I keep horses, dogs, cats, and a flock of free ranging chickens, and do some rescue work for a few groups. I sing and play a bit, write, and spend time gardening, as there is that alchemy that one witnesses when growing things. I travel near and far, as I am able, to experience the beauty of commonalities and difference.

Walking/hiking/in these woods and mountains fills me with deep gratitude and peace. Honoring the seasons, elements, directions, the moon and sun, and our Earth Mother, my spiritual practice keeps me centered. By walking a good path with reverence for all living beings, in deep observation of nature, through creation and practice of ceremony small and large, the whole of life is informed. All these things keep my spiritheart nourished.

With clear intention and full attention, we encounter life. There is resonance with spirit as we open to and integrate our experiences. The spiral continues. Wisdom grows.
